ThankFULL heart

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. (PS 145:3-7)

I'm about to tell you some Ah-mazing testimonies!!! And they are all for HIS glory!! May you be encouraged and strengthened in your faith as I testify of the Lord's abundant goodness! Well this is how it begins: Z and I have a lot of school debt. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot!!! We could buy a few cars or have a really nice house in Texas with the debt we have. But in the past 20 months we have paid off a lil over $40,000 by the GRACE of God!!! (Seriously, I have no idea how we paid off that much when we didn't even have good paying jobs to begin with.. now we're more stable, but it's been unbelievable of how the Lord has provided!!) Last fall we were given a car..for FREE!!! Z and I had been a one car family and to be honest it took me awhile to get used to this....asking for rides and trying to coordinate schedules is not fun. It means sacrifice, and it took awhile for my attitude to adjust. Well this past May our Lifegroup had an opportunity to give a car/ raise money for a car to a couple in need. Right away Z asked me if we could give away our car. (Bless his selfless heart!). I agreed, but of course wasn't too thrilled about it. Once it was all said and done though, it was amazing how good it felt to help another in need! In fact, what I had feared the most is being a one car family again. But when we gave the car away my attitude was totally different this second time around of being a one car family! And it was the whole mentality that we had received something free, so it was never mine to own to begin with, so it made it easy to give away. (oh Lord may that be my heart in every area!) So back to a one car fam with a very content attitude! Then here comes September... the Lord was ridiculous in September! A) I get a free flight home to see my family!! See my earlier post back in September about this story. B) A generous gift is given by someone very special to me and Z that is an amount like we have NEVER received before! C) the very next week some close friends get creative and give Z and I $5,000 to put a stepping stone of faith toward our debt!! They are fully behind us and believe that our debt will be paid off in full by the time Parker comes!! (We were speechless as tears rolled down our faces!!) D) A few days later another couple pledges 10% of part of their income toward our debt for the next 5 months!!! (Holy freakin cow people!!! Are you reading this!!! I get teared up just by writing it!!!) Those were some Ah-mazing ways the LORD provided in September!! I'm still blown away and my HEART is FULL of thanks!!! Lastly, this month our friends gave us their CAR!!!! We're a two car family with a 4-door car for Parker!!! Wahoo!!!! What in the world??!!! Lord you are so good!!! We don't deserve a dime from you; we don't deserve anything from you; yet, just like your Word says, it is your delight to give good gifts to your children!!!

So this Thanksgiving all I can say is that we are celebrating His abundant goodness!!! He has been so gracious and giving to us, using His body to bless us!!! Thank you friends and family for all your love and support!!! Words are never enough!!! But our hearts are oh so FULL!!!
