The Great Urban Race

For our 24th Birthdays my sistah friends (Rachel & Allison) entered us into the Great Urban Race. Have you ever watched the Amazing Race? It's like that but fun, crazy, and it's only in one city at a time. Basically there's 12-14 different clues that you are given at the beginning of the race. Then you have to go all over the city and take pictures of those mind boggler-puzzle things that you have to figure out. The clues consisted of word scrambles, trivia, fill in the blanks, Austin history.. you get the idea??... And of course Rachel did provide costumes for us to wear the day of the race. Her costume consisted of blue panchos, blue cut out softball socks, wrist bands, bandanas, doo-rags, and I heart Napolean Dynamite hats...yes, that's my sister for you :)
So for the next 4 hours in the 85 degree weather, Z and I walked/ran and kayaked in the city of Austin.
My mom and sister were my phone lifelines and Matthew and Katie were our helpers right then and there!!! (Thanks guys)
At first Z and I were like what the heck are we getting ourselves into?? But once we started going, our competitive nature made it all the more fun!!
And his iphone helped out a ton!!!! I think that's what made us get first place!!! jk, we got like 70-something out of 280 couples/groups, but that's still pretty good.
