First Timers

Z and I are not huge on concerts , but I really wanted to go see Hillsong. One night I was You Tube-ing lots of their videos and getting to know some of their stories and was like I'd love to see them in person! So what did my hubby do?? Book the tickets the next day of course, nothing too impulsive right?? (I'm thankful he did, and he's gettin better about the whole impulse buying stuff.) Anyways, so concert is Saturday @ 6:30pm. Friday night Z and I don't go to bed till after 1:30am (one of those long toe-touch nights... meaning can you toe-touch before you get in bed) Then I get up around 5:30am to go into work for some overtime. Get off at 3:30 and book it home so we can get on the road. Concert starts @ 6:30 right. Well I get home and Z had a long day (and night obviously) and says well maybe we should stay here and rent a movie. And I was like heck no! We paid for them tickets and I've really wanted to see them!! Even though I'm dead beat I want to go. So we go down to Austin, make it just in time around 5:50ish.

And the line to get in the door was only 3 1/2 -4 blocks long to get in. Lovely. Hot Texas Sun waiting in line until 7:40pm :) Little did we know that the concert started at 8pm and the doors opened at 6:30pm. That's how you can tell we're still kinda first timers.

We only lasted an hour and then were ready to go home. Pathetic huh? But we we're just so worn out from the night before and we were running on empty emotionally, physically, and we were hungry. So we peaced out and made the journey home. I wish we could have been energized for the concert bcuz I'm sure it coulda been so much better. But we enjoyed our short time with Hillsong :)
