See the Lord knew what he was doing... he created us women to be homemakers, nesters, making a house a home. So when we were little and played house, it really was preparing us for now. And here I am almost two years after marriage and our place is finally just starting to feel like a home. (It makes me happy!!)
Here is our very first piece of furniture we bought for the house back in September. Our beautiful coffee table! And guess how much it was???? It was selling for $45.oo on Friday, but Z and I showed up to the garage sale on Saturday around 11:30am and it was $3.00!!! I was like we'll take it.. I don't know how it's getting home, but it's mine. So Z and I painted it white and put some bead board on the top where the spray painted glass used to be which was chipped and what not. I love it!! Maybe it will stay in the family forever :)

See, I'm just getting excited about playing house, except it's for reals. We finally got our carpets cleaned!!! My mom visited in April and was like you should get your carpets cleaned. And here it is 7 months later... and they look brand spankin new! Wahoo!

And almost 3 years later (yes I graduated Dec 06) I finally framed my diploma (on the right). Z always had his frame, but I kept lookin around for the perfect one. And I finally found one for $15.00; I love finding a good deal!! I had to actually glue the diploma down and do some cutting, but hey, looks great to me!!
This is in our bedroom and I just love it! I'm thinking about putting some old, sepia pictures on there too somehow...

And the grand new addition... Z's early Christmas present!! He had been asking for a flat screen and I just didn't understand. We have a perfectly great box TV that is fine. But when this 42'' went on sale at Wal-Mart for an A-mazing price, Z wasn't going to back down. So after a long morning of a "discussion" and some tears I finally gave in and we went to Temple to happily purchase a new TV. And to be honest, it just looks so great and has made so much more space in the living room!!! I bought the little mantle under it for only $15.00 and now were just lookin for a steal to put some type of furniture thingy under it. I'll keep you posted (literally)
