Turkey-Hawk

I was driving and saw this thing in the middle of the street. Now at first I thought it was a rooster (yes, there are roosters in Waco that cross the street), but then as I got closer it looked like maybe a hawk, but then it had this ugly nasty face. So I came up with turkey-hawk. (minus the gobbler thing)
But now I realize, I think it's just a vulture, not a turkey-hawk.
Speaking of hawk, I want to tell my favorite hawk story of all time--- So one day my dad was spending time with God in the early morning outside. There had been a huge hawk that had come by the house a couple times and my dad said it reminded him of God's bigness, majesticness, vastness (something along those lines). So my dad prayed and asked God to let him see the hawk that morning. Sure enough a few minutes later, you know what shows up??? The hawk. JK (God's more creative than that!!!!!) A little tiny hummingbird!! (which if you've ever picked one up, it's as light as a feather and as big as your pinky). My dad kind of laughed and thought the Lord's got humor. But the real revelation that my dad shared with me is that God is big and majestic like the hawk and a lot of the times we expect Him to show up that way (in our lives, problems, hearts), but sometimes God shows up in His gentleness, in the small things. And the thing is, is that the hummingbird is so tiny, yet beautiful and intricately made. God likes to reveal His beauty and character in all His creation, no matter how big or small!!!
