Zach's birthday was I guess 2 weeks ago..??.. Feb 6th...Z was so...what's the right word.. passive??? about his birthday! Whenever I asked him what he wanted to do or where he wanted to eat.. it was always "I don't care." So I had to do my best without knowing what he wanted at all... The celebrating began on Thursday (even though his bday wasn't until Saturday.) I found him his favorite cake, Tres Leche, and brought it home to him on our date night as a surprise with some sweet tea of course.

Then Friday I brought his favorite cupcakes to work and a balloon and surprised him again.
Then the morning of the Big Day I woke him up to "Happy Birthday to you" by New Kids on the Block. Classic, right? And as he started to wake up and realize what was going on... I played the next song for him. A birthday rap from my sistah Rachel... he started to smile..

Then I gave him my present. He was wanting to open it so badly and it was so hard to keep it a secret form him and erase my trail so that no evidence remained... but it was a success!!! He had no idea what to expect!!!

And he cried some, laughed lots, and smiled tons! He felt to so loved!! (Thanks everyone!!!)
Once the day started we went to the mall and looked around. Z has been wanting some new jeans. We didn't find anything so we went and hung out with the Smiths. Matty was fixing his roof and Zach joined him. Not sure if Z did much work, but he looked good doing whatever he was doing...
Then we watched the Bears lose to the Aggies :( It was a good game and they were obviously anticipating a win

The Smiths got Z a beany from NY; I guess Texans call them toboggans though

On Super Bowl Sunday the Lawson's made Z a birthday cake!

Z loved it

Happy 25th Birthday!
And lastly, Monday night the Hopkins came over and Greg gave Z his gift. It was very thoughtful and probably one of Z's favorite gifts ever!
Don't leave home without it
