Well back in middle school, or maybe 9th grade, Z was playin football in the street with his homies. One pass that he just had to catch was headed straight for a mailbox. At the time Z was thinkin "I don't wanna roll my ankle." So as he made an impressive catch, he dodged the curb, not wanting to roll his ankle and BAM!!.. mouth gets smashed by a brick mailbox. (Looking back now, he wishes he would have rolled the ankle!) One tooth fell out and I guess the dentist jammed it back in later that day or week.. not sure (Z is snoozing so I'm goin off memory here, which is not so fresh.)Fast fwd to May 2008, Z gets an infection under his jammed tooth and it's time to do something about it. A dentist here in Waco pulled the crooked (old jammed tooth, which in my opinion always gave Z character) and pulled the tooth next to it. (Hence the gap in his grill.) Over the past 2 years my mom has been telling us we need to get started on the implants, and rightfully so, because his gum line is receding. And we knew we needed to get started, but just never got around to it.
Well finally after 3 opinions from different oral surgeons, we are getting this party started!
The procedure lasted around an hour and a half this morning. When the nurse called me back after the procedure was done she gave me the run down of his recovery. She said the doc would be out soon to let me know how it went... well time is passing and still no doc... the nurse comes in and says "They're having a lil trouble waking Zach up." This didn't frighten me one bit, but just kind of made me smile inside. (Is that bad?) I could just picture him kinda groaning and not waking up. I mean he does this with me when he's real sleepy in the mornings. Anyways Z is a Champ and is doing well! He's resting away and I'm keeping him hydrated and filled with meds. Thanks for the prayers and concern:)
And PS I've been waiting all day to hear about lil Applejack!!!! Prayin for you guys!
